Please contact the Mayor's Office of Neighborhood Services. Requests should be emailed to elicit the quickest response and must include the name, date, and type of the meeting/event. Please allow a minimum of two weeks to receive the personalized welcome letter.

Obtaining the Governor as a speaker for your meeting/event:
A letter must be written to the San Francisco branch of the Governor's office and include the following.
- The letter must be written on the organization's letterhead and must include the specifics of the meeting/event (i.e. location, date, details of the event), whether a welcome letter is requested, and what the Governor should speak about if he is requested at the meeting/event.
- The letter must provide contact information of the convention planner, including mailing address.
- The letter must be faxed to: 415-703-2803. Attention to: Shawn Smith, Acting Director for Northern California, San Francisco Office.
A letter will be sent back to the client from the San Francisco office either accepting or denying the request. For additional information visit: www.governor.ca.gov
